I’m so glad you could join us! I’m Mo, the owner of The Wordplay Firm, specializing in public relations services through event planning and management, artist care, social media and experiential marketing, crafty words and reputation management.

With nearly 20 years in the game, I’ve crafted a philosophy that treats everything we do as a luxury brands, from our clients to our business interactions, which has kept me in perpetual referral.

I got my start as a journalist, writing and editing for my high school newspaper and yearbook.

I parlayed that experience into couple of degrees… a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Cal State Long Beach and a Masters of Communication Management from USC.

Throughout college I sat in conference planning sessions and managed red carpets at awards shows. I also produced my first gospel concert with icon Tye Tribbett featuring various rising stars from across the country.

Before finishing my masters in 2010, I shifted my attention a bit to learn more about social media marketing strategy and met Terrace Martin.

I spent some of my best years helping Terrace transform his brand from noted producer to multi-dimensional artist by producing numerous star-studded live shows and coordinating the administration of many of his albums, including Velvet Portraits which gave me the opportunity to attend The Grammys in 2017.

The live shows I produced for Terrace served as a platform to showcase aspiring and affiliated artists and helped Martin to gain the attention of promoters from around the world. With him, I managed shows and tours in Japan, Europe, Canada, and many parts of the United States.

Today I embrace a passion for developing and managing artists with a certain level of care that you just don’t find in the industry anymore.  

Working with Terrace opened the door for me to work with many famed musicians on various projects and events including Robert Glasper, Chris Daddy Dave, Ronald Bruner Jr., 9th Wonder, iLL Camille, Cory Henry and Rose Gold, just to name a few.

I’ve had awesome opportunities to collaborate with the Recording Academy, Revolt TV, Fusicology, The Stellar Awards, Long Beach Gospel Fest, Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, VH1 and the Petersen Automotive Museum creating and coordinating live events and managing artists and promotions.
